2022 book readings:
Life is full agreements. Nothing happen with out agreement.
We see our reflection in others.
Now it time to take agreements with ourselves.
- Control your words. Words has power.
- Never take anything personal. Even some one put gun and trigger. Even that case never take anything personal.
- Never take any assumption. Ask until, clear. Never ever assume.
- Do best your best what ever circumstances.
Book is amazing. Implementation is really tough. We usually listen and accept bad words or labels from others and that become slowly our reality. Correct your inner talk. Replace word forcibly. Until, words become your reality.
There is always cause and effect. Never take anything personality. There is some reason for everything. If you want reason inside your correct it. Otherwise its problem with others not you. Take things as it is. Never waste to go in deapth.
Many times we are assuming thing. For example if we find a lady saw us with simple smile. We assume that she likes me. Actually she is doing her job, When you talk to her, she will market some product or give you some information. Never ever assume things and never. Most of the time we assume things and then start it is reality and start acting accordingly. Never assume anything. Many time during communication. We listen half and rest of things we assume. In such situation. Always ask questions. Ask until things are clear to you.
Many times things are not as they look. Never take things on face value.
To every task or thing with full efforts. Even results are not coming. Even you think you will not rewarded. Do your best.
Now question is how you implement these four agreements in your life. For this you have take responsibility. You force yourself, with repetition these become your efforts.
This book teach me only one lesson. If you write daily blog, just your thoughts, One day you will publish them as book. So I start writing 300 words daily. Simple book.
I saw Ankur Warikoo on Sandeep Mahswari youtube channel as guest. The book teaches that if you keep going, regardless of failures in life, you will certainly reach some where. So Keep moving. keep trying. Keep taking chances.
Results can be in control. Or project and task can be delivered or can be closed in better way. There chances of failure. Either we did not have specialized knowledge and we doing this task first time. possible you have knowledge and experience but we have failure to apply knowledge correctly. For second type of failure we requires different type of strategy. We have to built certain types of points or steps that need to insure before finishing the task or complete the job. For example test flight, Pilot insure certain check list before taking flight. In hospital before starting the operations. Doctors or surgeon ensure certain check list so no mistake happens. And after finishing operations they again ensure certain check list to reduce the human error.
So what we are doing. We also make certain check list to ensure minimum performance.
Book is lengthy and bore. But point is amazing. We need to make certain type of check list. Many times we have knowledge and expertise. But we forget to take benefit form our experience. Stress tiredness or lack of interest due to similar type of task are reason to ignore certain steps that will help us to ensure better results. We need to improve our check list. new points need to added and improve the old one. These check list are base for minimum performance.
Currently facing challenge of documentation. What I did, when. What I read. What are my notes. And what email or instructions I got from client / Boss. I have problem to forget things. I used to write blog back in 5 years ago. At that time I used One notes. Now I have notion as single version of thoughts. But things were disorganize. But after reading this book. As I know its not 100 percent possible to implement his book. But his code method works for me.
C = for capture. Or collect. I used daily archive. Where I dump everything, Every thought. Every task I did. Every discussion I did my boss. What are check list I have. What challenges I face. What I spent on which area.
O= Organize. write described about four types of folder, note books it depends on which application you are using. And
Project which are have deadline. My office project are here. Usually I stored my notes and dates. For reference. For example. what change I did and why I did that change. I need references.
Archive : Where I capture on daily achieve or monthly archive with separator. Usually daily notes I placed here.
Areas contains. All folders I need to consider. All planning and notes stay there. for example Monthly expenses. Health related things. Books and blog Store where.
Resources: All those things I like to store for example tutorial related to some tool which I love to use. Book reference and extract I stored here.
What is difference between information and data. Information is raw form. And Data is processed information in organize. I used to move from archive to there respected folders. Which Idea or thought are good. Will this information is good. Or Discard some information.
Express: In this phase. What information I shifted to respected in folders. I do next action. For example from my notes anything that I can write and share.
Book is good. It is different from GTD. It more how we organized our digital life. And make notes. I am trying to practice this that helpful for me in longer run.
I used notion for but much simpler way.
Being introvert, sometime I am too much inspired from extrovert people. At least they can share stories and impressed others. But after reading this book I understand. A few things we can change but not many. We have to accept yourself and play on our strengths.
Agile is adopted the change and continues improvement through lesson learn.. small requirement gathering, small build and small testing, feedback and then again next iteration.
Author tried to built a system to improve personal life and professional life. Divide the year goals, pick top three goals. then plan for your month, and then plan your week. And finally plan your day.
Monday Vision, Daily wins , and Friday Reflection Pattern is amazing.

Managing oneself book notes
All successful people know one thing, they manage themselves
Key to manage one self is understand yourself.
You must know, what are your strengths and weakness. Do feedback or reflection to check that, Make decision, write down what will changes expecting due to this decision and set expected time period. After that period check what you what results are different then expected and why. That will help you to understand your strengths and weakness.
are you listener or reader.
Are you advisor or decision maker.
Are you work in small organization or in big organization.
Lone worker or work in teams.
How you perform or how you complete any task.
How learn things, speaking, reading, writing or with discussion.
What are your values, do mirror check, what qualities you need to have while looking in mirror.
Where you belong.
Author thinks that you have to accept what you are not try to convert into other type for example if you are reader, dont try to convert you in listern.
Its better to be work on your strength to make them excellence, instead to make your weakness to average performance.
Contribution is only possible, when there is opportunity , then you understand your self strength weakness etc., and what results you creates make the difference.
It is your responsibly to relationship with others.
Relationships divided into two things. Understand others and then how to communicate with them.
you have to understand others, they are like you. they have strength, weakness, how they perform or way of work, what are their values and where they belong.
Then its your responsibility to communicate what you do, why you doing and what is advantages of your task work you perform.
2021 book readings:
I am great fan of Trello, but Trello has one feature missing that is timer. Pomodoro timer. There are plenty of thired party apps and power ups available but who goes to pay extra money and purchase business class.
First time I used Trello as kanban board. After reading this book. I made my own kanban board with help of www.kanbanflow.com. After that I am comfortably work plan, organize and track my personal and professional task.
The basic advantage of kanbanflow over trello is built in Pomodoro timer.
Book is based on ancient folk lore, That don’t go search for new opportunity, first search where you are. Grass is greener on the other side.
Where you are that is land of opportunities.
Why people survive, they bear harsh realities of life. In worst condition in life.
Why people do anything. Even when doctors respond to patient that due to certain reason they will not live longer. but patient survived longer then expectation. There is certain reason for that. That is why in people live, so they bear the pain and suffering. In this book Viktor E. Frankl share, If you find your why in your life, He called this why is personal level as “Meaning In your life”. That helps you to achieve anything your life. And that is thing that people accomplished a lot.
According to him, there are possible three meaning in life.
Love. Extreme level of love.
Achievement or accomplishment.
Meaning in suffering.
The book is amazing, The ideas are great, Naval Ravikant usually writes blog post, podcast on different channels. This book is basically compilation of his blog post and podcast with modification and enhancement.
His one idea, rethinking about my career. But still I am unable to implement that.
You can become wealthy only when you have some part of business not just work for business. Day to day job, pay to pay check will never make you reach.
Very simple written points, very near to life and can be implementable.
